Direct registration into Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) of Chartered Accountancy course will be possible after the proposal gets approved by the union government. The council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has made the proposal and is most likely to get approved by the higher authorities within this year. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this and may take more time to make this amendment. So, basically as per the present regulation, qualifying Common Proficiency Test is mandatory for every individual willing to pursue Chartered Accountancy course. Whether you are a graduate, undergraduate or a post graduate, you have got to qualify the Common Proficiency Test in order to be considered eligible to pursue the course and enroll for the Integrated Professional Competence Course.
