I have taken ip in 12 in commerce stream can i do BCA course without maths?

few university give eligibility criterion that to take admission in BCA candidates should have either mathematics or computer in 12th study. as you don't have mathematics in 12th so if there was computer application subject in 12th then you will be eligible for BCA course.

there are so many other university also where there is no such criterion. they take admission 12th pass candidates. as you are from commerce so you have done mathematics little bit that will an added advantage for you. try to contact with the BCA institution they will tell you about the eligibility criterion under that university.

if you don't have mathematics in 12th and you want to take admission in BCA then may be you will get chance to take admission in few institution but BCA study will be very much difficult for you. because in BCA there are some paper from mathematics. also at the time of selection for job without mathematics students in 12th suffer a lot to be selected for job. i think as you passed from commerce background so BBA will be the best option for you than BCA if you are interested to do MBA after completion of your graduation.

Yeah,you can opt BCA.You will be comfortable with Bachelor Degree but there will be discomfort if you would like to pursue Masters as MCA.
*MCA aspirants should have qualified High school with PCM as subject.
But you are from commerce background,don't worry "If there is will,there is a way".
*Appear in the Maths paper of High school from the same board you had qualified 10+2.
*Get the score card for Maths.
*Attach the Maths score card with the Representing Documents at the time of counselling for MCA
But,if you opt other course for Masters except MCA,then you need not to appear in Maths exam.

I too had Commerce with IP in Class 12th. But it's difficult to find a clg who is willing to give you BCA because they want maths or computer science as one of your subject.

But if you really want to go in Computer line you must have Mathematics as your main subject.

Suggestion:

you can do graduation in which math is a main subject and keep on increasing your computer knowledge and after graduation you can apply for MCA
with but have atleast

1.50% marks with maths as main subject so that you are eligible for any clg

2.55% marks with maths as main subject so that you are eligible for some clg

3.60% marks with maths as main subject so that you are eligible for every clg

YES<)Generally any stream of 12 th is admitted for BCA courses.RARELY any college asks for 12 th wit maths.So u will get admissions in most of colleges .AS u r commerece stream student BCA will nicely suit u.Later go for MCA or MBA in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY <MBA CS OR MBA MIS.
