Can i do M.tech after finishing my graduation in Geology?

M.Tech stands for the Master of Technology. The admission in most of the engineering colleges is given on the basis of GATE score. GATE is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology.

Eligibility criteria for GATE or M.Tech admission:

1. Candidates who have done four years bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university is eligible for this exam.

Other than B.Tech, candidates who have done Integrated B.Tech and M.Tech or master's degree in science, computer application, mathematics etc can apply for this exam.

So, you are not eligible for the M.Tech admissions after finishing graduation in geology.

M.Tech is the Master In Technology course having 2 year duration.You are not eligible for M.Tech after completion of bachelor degree in Geology.

M.Tech Eligibility
- You must have passed/appearing in final year of B.E/B.Tech from recognized university.
- You also need to qualify the entrance exam GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering).

GATE Paper Pattern
- Total Questions : 65
- Total Marks : 100
- 55 Questions are asked from subject of engineering & 10 Questions asked from General Aptitude carrying 15 Marks.

- Availability of Admit-Cards : 17/12/2015
- GATE Exam : 30 & 31 January , 2016 and 6 & 7 Febuary , 2016

GATE Application Fees
- General/OBC Male : Rs.1500/-
- General/OBC Female : Rs.750/-
- SC/ST : Rs.750/-
