Re: Can I do mechanical or electronics after passing power engineering from NPTI?
IES stands for the Indian Engineering Services examination. It is also called Engineering Services examination and is conducted by the UPSC every year. This is the best UPSC exam for engineers.
Eligibility criteria: >>Candidate from any stream of engineering can apply for this exam. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam. >>The age limit for the general category candidates is 21-30 years and upper age relaxed for OBC candidates upto three years and SC/ST candidates upto five years. This exam is conducted in four streams only: >>Civil Engineering. >>Electrical Engineering. >>Mechanical Engineering. >>Electronics and Communication Engineering. From my point of view, the best stream for a power engineering stream candidate to appear in this exam will be Electrical Engineering. So you must choose, electrical engineering for IES exam. |
