i am pursuing msc (it) in distance mode in sikkim manipal university,but degree micobiology.i want to pursue m-tech in regular mode,please tell me am i eligible or not.

no doubt, you have a degree then you must do m.tech,
there is no link of msc with m.tech.

why not, you can do mtech on regular basis, there is no matter you have do msc in distance basis..ofcourse you can go for regular courses.

so you can do M.Tech in regular mode. you can take admission through many entrance exam like GATE.

MTech requires only a BTech or a master degree, it is independent of mode which you follow to get degree. However you may equally eligible to write GATE exam also , and you can choose any of the subject in GATE brochure. If you want to get admission in MTech microbiology then fill the form by choosing microbiology option.

i had completed BCA in regular mode and also i had completed M.sc(computer science) in distance learning so i am eligible for gate or not

yes form microbiology you may do MTECH.this is not a problem as you ahve done master degree from distance education.

Yes, you can do M.tech after M.Sc in Distance mode and any person having Master's degree in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Life Science/ related subjects from educational Institutions approved by UGC/ Government.

Hello there,
I did not understand when you already have a technical degree(since you are pursuing M.Sc. IT), why do you want one more technical degree and waste two more years. Instead you can go for distance mode MBA. Already after M.Sc. IT you will have IT knowledge. Now club it with business domain knowledge. in my opinion you must go for MBA in IT. Since you have already done distance mode education, you must do distance mode MBA. You can go for IGNOU MBA. This is of 21 courses in total and takes 2.5 years in total to complete. You just need to clear the OPENMAT examination or CAT examination to be eligible for IGNOU MBA. You need around Rs. 800 for each course. So ultimately you can finish the MBA course within Rs.21,000. But just remember, if you do not have more than 50% in your graduation, you cannot go for IGNOU or any other MBA. So good luck.
