Can I do Ph.D after completing MSc statistics with 65%?
Sir i have completed my msc statistics( 65%) in 2003 .can i do phd ?

Yes, you can. after completing your masters with min 55% you need to qualify a tests such as GATE/CSIR-NET/ JEST and TIFR /NEST /SLET etc. if you qualify written ,then you ‘ll be called for interview. In some university you ‘ll be required to undergo their separate written test and interview.Phd is offered in two modes:Part Time and Full Time
Part Time: A candidate has to attend classes on weekends. Full Time: A candidate has to attend regular classes(5–6 days a week). You can apply reputed institutions for phd along with a research proposal. if you clear NET it will be consider as an additional qualification. Qualifying JRF will get you financial assistance for carrying out phd.Most of the research institutions conduct entrance exam and personal interview for admission.75% weightage will be given to your entrance score and 25% will be given to personal interview.For more information check their websites. Yes you are eligible to do PHD after completion of your masters degree. The minimum percentage required is 55% in your masters degree.
