Sir I persuing btech frm electrical branch.can I eligible for ifs..if eligible .please help me for choosing optional subject

IFS(Indian Forest Services) exam is conducted by UPSC.

In order to appear for this exam you will require the following eligibility:-


>>Your minimum age should be 21 years.
>>Your age should not be above 28 years.
>>You must be pass out in Graduation from any stream.
Here your engineering degree will be treated as Graduation Equivalent.
>>Your degree should be approved from the AICTE.


Age relaxations details:-

If you have or about to cross the age limit then you may only able to take age relaxation facility if you comes under the reserved category.

Its details are:-

>>If you comes under the SC/ST then you will get 5 years of age relaxations.
>>If you comes under the OBC then you will get 3 years of age relaxations.

Number of attempts details:-

>>If you comes under the General then you can appear only 4 times in this exam.
>>If you comes under the OBC then you can appear only 7 times in this exam.

:-There is no limitations for the SC/ST candidates.

Exam patterns:-

This exam will be conducted in two stages:-

>>Preliminary :- It will be objective type and is treated as qualifying exam.
>>Main Examination :- It will be written exam and also includes Interview.

Sir I'm pursuing my engineering by electrical branch l want to join IFS after my graduation. Am I able to give exam of IFS. then what is the syllabus..
