When i was calculating my rank it showed me 110233 so now nit have 23000 cutt of rank for mechanical field can i expect to get in nit??..i have got 80 in jee mains nd i am expecting to get 85-90% in 12th can i expect to get NIT, Raipur??..

To get admission in the NIT you have to first clear the JEE Mains examination and also have to get high percentage of marks in your higher secondary examination which you are expecting in your board examination as the final merit list is made on the overall performance of these examination

No you cannot expect your admission in the NIT having scored 80 marks in JEE Mains examination if you are a general candidate as the general cutoff for this examination is 105 marks .

But you can expect the same if you belong to other categories as for these categories the cutoff is less the 80 marks .

To get the NIT/IIT/IIIT with desired stream you should appear in the JEE Advance examination and try to secure maximum marks you can if you are eligible for the same examination .
