Eligibility For CDS Exam

The Combined Defense Services Exam is conducted every year by the UPSC in the months of February and September..

A candidate is eligible for appearing for CDS Exam only if :-

>> The candidate must be in the final year of graduation or must have already cleared his/her graduation from a recognized University..

>> The candidate must be within the following age limits for applying for the desired wing :-

> Indian Navy :- 19-22 years
> Indian Air Force :- 19-23 years
> Indian Military Academy :- 19-24 years
> Officer's Training Academy :- 19-25 years

Since, your current age is 23 years hence, you can apply for all the wings except for the Indian Navy..

You will face 3 sections in the written exam with 100 marks each :-

>> General Awareness
>> Elementary Maths
>> English

Combined Defence Services Examination or CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for selection in Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Only candidates who have completed graduation can appear for the CDS exam. Unfortunately you have completed diploma which is not considered equal to graduation. Please check the eligibility below for more information.

Eligibility for CDS

1. Only candidates of Indian origin can apply.

2. The age limit for joining Indian Military Academy is 19-24 years.

3. Candidate should be unmarried to appear for CDS exam.

4. The educational requirement for Indian Army is graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.

Yes your eligible for CDS Entrance Examination .. As per your age , your only eligible for Indian Army/Officer Training Academy ..

As per your Date of Birth , At your age is 23 years and 9 Months .. With this age your not applicable for Airforce/Navy Academy ..

To Join in Navy/Airforce . the student age should be Below 23 years for Airforce and below 22 years for Navy Wing .. So, as per your age limit your not applicable for Navy/Airforce wing ..

Note :- To appear in Airforce Wing your age should be Below 23 years ,,

Union Public Service Commission conducts the Combined Defense Service Examination for those students who wants to join any one of the following wing: Army wing, Naval wing, Air Force wing and Officer's Training wing. This exam is almost like a tool which helps in assessing the overall performance of the interested candidates applying for this exam.

Indian Military Academy:-

• As far as educational qualification is concerned you need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  
• Age has to be between 19 and 24 years.

Naval Academy:-

• You need to have a bachelor's degree in science with Physics and Mathematics or a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  
• Age has to be between 19 and 22 years.

Air Force Academy:-

• You need to have a B.Sc degree with Physics and Mathematics or B.Tech degree of four years' duration.
  
• Age has to be between 19 and 23 years.

Officers' Training Academy:-

• You need to possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  
• Age has to be between 19 and 25 years.

Exam Pattern:-

The question paper for Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy are same. It includes the following subjects: English, General Knowledge (GK) and Elementary Mathematics. The total time limit for each subject is two hours. 100 marks have been allotted for each subject.

The subject for OTA includes: English and General Knowledge. The question paper is set in both English and Hindi. Questions are mainly objective types.

3. Air Force Academy: Degree in any Discipline with (Phy & Maths) as Subjects in (10 + 2) level OR Degree in Engineering.....

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for C.D.S. exam after passing B.C.A at the age of 23.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

If you want you can apply both online and offline.

Last date of submission of form:-24.06.2013 (MONDAY)

BBA - Bachelor of Business Administration, its a Graduate Degree course so after completion of which you apply for CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Hence as a BBA Graduate you are eligible to apply for Indian Military Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS at the age of 23 years.

YES, you can apply for the CDS exams.

CDS exams are held for the below wings of the Defence services
Indian Military Academy
Officers Training Academy
Airforce
Navy

Since you have already completed 23 years, so you would not be eligible to apply for the Airforce and Navy wing

But you can apply for the IMA and OTA wing

Education:
Indian Military Academy (IMA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream
Officers Training Academy (OTA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream


AGE LIMITS-
IMA- Between 19- 24 years
OTA Between 19- 25 years

Next CDS exams will be held on 8th Sep 2013
Notification will come out on 25th May 2013
