could u please tell me whether I join Indian Army after BSc and which posts are get I get after scoring 50% in BSc?

For joining Indian army you requires atleast 60%.

Yes, being a graduate, you are eligible to join Army. Graduates are often recruited to Officer level positions. Selection is conducted through UPSC CDS exam. Your age must be less than 24 years to apply. Unmarried Indian males are only eligible to apply.

After completing B.sc you can join Indian Army.

But first you can crack the CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year.

CDS-I

CDS-II

CDS has three wings:

Indian Army

Naval

Indian Air force

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate should be citizen of India.

Candidate should complete the Graduation from recognized university.

Percentage not required for this exam.

PCM subjects are required for the Naval and Air force.

The candidate age limit should be between 19 to 24 years.

No upper age relaxation is applicable for other categories.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

Candidate should be physically fit for this exam.

After passing B.Sc you can join Indian Army.

For join this you have to qualify the Commbined Defence Services exam.

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES

C.D.S. Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice.

Eligibility criteria for C.D.S exam:-
> Pass Graduation with any stream from recognized University.
> Age limit should be above 19 year and below 24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

You can apply online or offline.
The Form cost is just 50 Rs.

After the cpmplition of your B.SC you will need to appear for the entrance exams conducted by UPSC there are exams like

NDA

CDS

AFMC

NDA and CDS are the exams for officer' posts

whereas AFMC is an medical entrance exam

women candidates are eligible for CDS and AFMC

but are not eligible for NDA So, you can apply remaining posts

for CDS ;

You need to have a bachelor's degree in nay field

Age limit

19 to 25 years

For AFMC ;

You need to be 12th passed with pcm as compulsory subjects

Age limit ;

Minimum age should be 17 years

Selection process :

1.written exam

2.interview/ssb

3.medical test

Yes you can apply for Indian Army after completing your B.Sc Graduation if your age is according to the criteria.

There is Combined Defense Services Examination for Graduates in any discipline from a recognized University.

Age Limit for CDS Examination:

Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years

Indian Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years

Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years

Officer Training Academy - 19 to 25 years

Selection Procedure:

You have to appear for an Written examination and if you perform well in it then you will be called for for SSB Interview.

Those who are in merit after the above will undergo Medical examination. Those medically unfit will be rejected.

So you must have good physical fitness then only you can make it.

This examination is for Officer Level posts in Indian Defense and you must be very well prepared then only you will crack it.

Eligibilty to apply for the CDS exams is:


In CDS there are 4 wings for which exam is conducted and they are:

>> IMA - Graduation Pass in any Stream
>> OTA- Graduation Pass in any Stream
>> AIRFORCE- Graduation Pass with Phy and Maths as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH
>> NAVY - BE/BTECH

AGE LIMITS-
IMA- Between 19- 24 years
OTA Between 19- 25 years
NAVY - Between 19- 22 years
AIR FORCE - Between 19- 23 years

You can join Indian Army through CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by uPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Mlitary Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academ after B.Sc.

The eligible candidate aspiring to join as an officer of Indian Army(IMA) of CDS, must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health.
