You have completed 12th standard with arts background so you are eligible for Indian Army through NDA exam.

National defence academy is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year to recruit the candidates in Army, Navy & Air Force wings of National Defence Academy.

Candidate who have completed 12th standard are eligible for NDA Exam.

If your 12th standard subjects are physics and mathematics then you are eligible for Naval academy exam through NDA exam.

The candidate age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidate. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must be an Indian citizen.

After passing 12th arts if you want to join Army you have to option:-

Join as Jawan

Join as officer

For joining as officer in Indian Army you have to qualify National Defence Academy exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

Union Public Service Commission conduct NDA exam twice in a year.
There are 3 services included in that exam:-
Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air Force

To qualify NDA you have written exam and then interview.

Interview is conducted by Service Selection Board (SSB).

After qualifying interview you have to pass medical test.

After passing all the test you can join Indian Army.

If you want to join Indian Army as Jawan then you will contact army recruitment office(A.R.O)
