After passing 12th with arts stream you can join Indian Army then you have to qualify the N.D.A exam..

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year..

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with recognized university
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-

> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

Yes, a candidate from Arts stream 12th standard is eligible to join Indian Army provided he has to apply and crack NDA entrance exam conducted by UPSC.

Besides educational qualification as 12th standard, in order to be eligible for Indian Army of NDA, The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and mental health.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

Yeah a candidate from Arts stream of +2 can join in Indian Army

Procedure For Joining:

The way by which you can join in Indian Army is by writing the entrance exam and the exam which you can write with a education qualification of +2 and Arts Stream is by writing:

NDA Exam - National Defence Academy

This exam is being carried out by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and this exam is conducted every year.

The exam can be written for joining in Indian Army and other defence forces such as Indian Navy and Air Force.

The qualification which you need to possess are that:

> The candidate need to be a citizen of India and must be a unmarried male candidate.

> The age limit for the exam is that the candidate must have 16 1/2-19 years.

> Education qualification needed for the exam is that the candidate must have completed +2 with a fair percentage for joining in Indian Army.

> The candidate appearing for the exam must be physically fit.



In order to apply for the exam you have to satisfy all these criteria's for applying,so that you can apply for the exam in 2 ways:

NDA Exam is conducted by UPSC Twice every year.By giving this exam one can get admission in the three defense forces of India namely

-Indian millitary academy

-Indian naval academy

-Indian airforce academy


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA(NDA)

-candidates should have passed or appearing XII class from a recognized board or university.

-candidates having PCM can also apply in all the three branches mentioned above.

-the age required to appear for this between 16.5 to 19 years,including the limiting dates.
-candidates not having PCM can only apply for Indian Millitary Academy and not for navy or airforce.

-only unmarried male candidates can apply.....

physical fitness is required....

Eyesight--------

one should have a minimum corrected vision of at least 6 / 12 in each eye. one could also have 6 / 6 in the healthier eye and 6 / 18 in weaker eye with spectacles with power not more than + / -5.50 Dioptres, inclusive of astigmatism in any meridian with full field of vision and Minimum CP-IV unsafe colour vision.

NDA entrance exam eligibility criteria:-
You should be minimum 12 pass out
age limit-16.5-19 yrs
you should be an unmarried citizen of india

Exam pattern:-
paper i is mathematics of 300 marks
paper ii is the general ability divided into two parts:-
part A is english of 200 marks
part B is general knowledge of 400 marks
so total 900 marks

Then there is the interview session which will yield you more marks

Yes shore you are eligible for indian army after completing 12th standard with arts stream.

But for this you have to apply NDA(National Defence Service ) exam,it is conducted under the UPSC twice in a year.

NDA has three wings:-

Indian army,
Indian navy,
Indian airforce.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state board.

For airforce and navy wings you must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects are must but for airforce any stream candidates should be eligible.

Percentage is no need to apply this exam.

Nationality:-
Citizen of india.

Age criteria:-

The candidates should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years.

Gender:-
Only male and unmarried candidates are eligible.

Hi dear,
Yes ofcourse you can go for Indian army after 12th class in arts.
You have to qualify NDA exam conducted by UPSC.
The eligibility criteria for NDA are
The candidate must be Indian
The age must be with in 16.5 to 19 years.
There are some fields that are only for non medical students.
In some fields only unmarried male are allowed
