You can apply for the Indian Army after the completion of your 12th
through National Defence Academy(NDA). The NDA exam is conducted

yea you may join in Indian army after 12th in arts. you will not be eligible for TES or NDA entry scheme. because in these two scheme the educational qualification requirement is that you should have physics, chemistry and mathematics in 12th. so you should try for other option. for details about NDA visit the website http://www.upsc.gov.in



you may join in Indian army as soldier. i think it will be better for you to first complete your graduation in any subject. after that try to join in Indian army. that will be very good for you.

NO, you cannot join Indian Army after passing 12th standard in Arts.

ELIGIBILITY FOR NDA EXAM: -

1. A candidate pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised board.

2. Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 16 Years to 21 Years.

3. Physical Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

a. Eye Sight = 6/6,
b. Height = 167 cms,
c. Weight: 50 Kg
d. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

I am sorry to say you are not eligible for NDA after 12th standard with Arts stream

NDA Examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA examination:

Educational Qualification:

XII with Physics, Chemistry and Maths for Airforce and Navy.

Age Criteria:

You must have age in between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

But if you want to join Indian Army as Solider than you can apply.


Eligibility Criteria for soldier in Army:


1.Soldier General Duty

You can apply for the Indian army as a soldier after passing the 10th board exam.

To apply for Indian army through above entry you have to score at least 45% marks in your 10th board exam.

Age limit: The candidate applying for the Indian Army through above entry should have age between 171/2-21 Years.

2.SoldierClerk / StoreKeeper Technical

For the above entry scheme you have to be 10+2 pass in any stream and should have to score at least 50% marks.

friend to join army u have to appear for the nda exam for which physics and maths are compulsory subjects in +2 so u cant apply now but u can easily apply for army after grad through the cds exam.

*The student should be passed 10+2 exam after that they can apply for nda exam.
the +2 appearing students can also apply for nda exam.

u can go in for IMA(indian military academy) or NDA (national defence academy) exams..u should be physically strong and should have a perfect eyesight..
