I'm 20yrs male can join in Indian army. if possible how can i join please tell me give relply

Yes, at the age of 20 years, you can join Indian Army after Graduation Degree through cracking CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year.

But you are not eligible to join Indian Army through NDA(National Defence Academy) after 12th as the maximum age limit for NDA is 19 years.

The eligible candidate aspiring to join Indian Army(Indian Military Academy) through CDS, must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognise University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health.

The CDS can be applied through on line only by paying requisite fee for the exam.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a 12th standard with PCM (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) subjects from any recognized institution

There is no percentage required for this examination

There is no age relaxation for this examination

Nationality

Candidates should be a citizen of India

Eligibility for Indian Army
Applicant’s Nationality – Applicant should be verified and known Indian.
Age Limitation – Applicants are eligible for Indian Army if having Age between 19 minimum and 25 maximum years. And there is relaxation against SC/ST by Indian Govt

Educational Qualification – Applicants must complete Graduation with 50% from reputed university of India and must have ‘B’ in ‘C’ certificate examination in NCC.

Physical Standard – Applicants must have enough physic and body for qualify the Physical standard as given –

1.Weight and Height – Applicant are applying for Indian army should have minimum 157.5 cm equivalent to weight. And for woman standard height is 142 cm and weight 42 kg. Also Applicants who belongs to Nepalies/Gorkhas and north east have 5cm relaxation in Height and who belongs to Lakshadweep have 2cm relaxation in Height.

2.Visual Standards – Indian Army is very strict in case of Vision so the applicants should have clear vision in case if they want to apply. Applicants should have corrected vision 6/6 and 6/9 in worse eye. Applicant should have a healthy retina and with maximum residual refraction of: ± 1.50 in any meridian for myopia or hyper-metropia.

Yeah yes eligible, A 20 years candidate can be eligible for Indian army through CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam but you should complete graduation and this exam conducted by the UPSC every year two times.

Eligibility criteria:-

Indian Army(Military academy):
The applicant should be complete bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 24 years.

Indian Naval academy:
The candidate should be complete Bachelor's degree in engineering or B.Sc with mathematics from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 22 years.

Indian Airforce academy:
The candidate should be complete graduation in engineering or B.Sc in mathematics from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 23 years.


Officers Training Academy:
The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 25 years.


There is no upper age relaxation.

Male and Female both are eligible for this exam.

Candidate must be an Indian origin and physically fit.
