Can I pursue NET exam if I am not a regular M.A student


I have done my MA in correspondence .will it create a problem for preparing NET exam as i m not a regular MA student?

You can appear in the NET exam with a post graduation degree. NET exam is conducted by UGC for selecting candidates in to lecturer positions in different government colleges or universities. There is no specification that the post graduation should be completed as a regular course. Even the graduates who have done PG as a distance course can also apply for NET exam provided they have taken the PG from an institute which is recognized by UGC. The percentage of marks required for attending the NET exam is 55%.
