Re: Can I write the IAS/Civil Services Exam while studying BSc maths?
UPSC conducts civil service exam for the post of officers in IAS, IPS, etc. The basic eligibility for this is to complete graduation. You can apply for the exam during the final year of your graduation. You have first appear for CSAT. Once you clear this exam you have to appear for the mains. You should have passed your graduation before the main exam. The candidates who clear the main exam have to appear for the interview.

Hi
IAS stands for the Indian Administrative Services IPS sands for the Indian Police Service. Civil Service examinations are the ones, which are conducted by the UPSC, to recruit candidates for the various government posts in Civil Services. These are one of the toughest examinations of all times, and the most reputated ones in India. The eligibility conditions for writing the IAS/Civil Service Exams are : 1 Your nationality should be Indian. 2. You should be a minimum graduate in any stream from a recognized university or college. 3. Your age should be within 21-30 years for the GEN, 21-33 for the OBC, and 21-35 for the SC/ST. 4. The GEN people are given at maximum 4 attempts, OBC are given 7, and the SC/ST have no attempt limits for them. 5. Final year students can apply, but not pre-final year students So now as you ask, that if you are eligible for these exams while studying B.Sc Mathematics, I must tell you that you are only eligible for the first time to apply for these exams once you are in your final year appearing of your graduation. Re: Can I write the IAS/Civil Services Exam while studying BSc maths?
Dear Friend ,
It depends on the year in which you are studying that means either you are in the final year or in second or first year. This is because in order to be eligible for the civil services examination , the educational qualification that you require is either you have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university or you must be in the final year of your graduation. So , if you are in the final year , then yes you are eligible for the exam and you can write the exam otherwise you are not eligible. This is the information i have to the bets of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. For more details , you can visit : http://www.upsc.gov.in |
