i have completed my 12th standard and have taken food technology for UG.. i want to knew if i can write IES exam since i couldnt able to see my course(food tech) in the eligibility of IES..

No you're not eligible for IES Entrance examination after completing 12th standard. To appear in IES Entrance examination then you should be a graduation in engineering stream from recognized university.

IES i.e Indian Engineering Service Examination and this Examination is Organized by UPSC Examination . This Examination recurit for Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication.

To Participate in this Examination than your age should Complete Engineering Course in any one of the specialization like, Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Final year candidate of Engineering candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination.

The Applicant should be attained the age of 21 years and should not attained the age of 30 years . The Upper age relaxation will applicable for three years for OBC candidates and five years for SC/ST candidates.

Number of attempts:- 4 Attempts for general candidates / 7 Attempts for OBC candidates / And No limit for SC/ST candidates.
