Can a Nepali student having completed Mechanical Engineering from India get Into Indian Army, Navy or Air Force? Sir please reply it as soon as possible and help me in determining what to do next after my Engineering which will be completed in few weeks. Thank You.

Yes, a Nepali student can get into Indian Army, Navy or Air Force after having completed Mechanical Engineering from India.

UPSC conducts CDSE(Combined Defense Services Exam) every year for recruitment to officer cadre in Indian Army, Navy or Air Force.

The eligibility criteria for CDS exam are as under:-

- Nationality : The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan or Tibetan Refugee.

- Educational Qualification:

Indian Military Academy/Officer's Training Academy- Graduation in any discipline.

Indian Naval Academy- Bachelor of Engineering.

Indian Air Force Academy- 10+2 level degree with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.

-Age limit:

Indian Military Academy- 19 years to 24 years

Indian Naval Academy-19 years to 22 years

Indian Air Force Academy-19 years to 23 years

Officer's Training Academy-19 years to 25 years

-Selection Procedure:

*Written Exam

*Interview by Services Selection Board.

Yes, being a Nepali student, you are eligible to join in Indian Army, Navy or Air Force after completion of your Mechanical Engineering. You must have to appear in CDS examination to join in Indian Army, Navy or Air Force after completion of your Mechanical Engineering. You must have to satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned below to appear in CDS examination :-

1. Nationality :- Indian

2. Age Limit :-
--> Indian Army :- 19-24 years
--> Indian Air Force :- 19-24 years
--> Indian Navy :- 19-22 years
--> Officers’ Training Academy :- 19-25 years

3. Educational Qualification :-
--> Indian Army :- You must have completed Graduation degree or equivalent from a recognised university.
--> Indian Navy :- You must have completed Graduation degree in Engineering from a recognised university.
--> Indian Air Force :- You must have completed Graduation degree from a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

4. You must be an Unmarried Male candidate to be eligible to apply for Indian Army and Indian Navy.

5. You must be Physically fit.

I am a Nepali citizen and pursuing Mechanical engineering from Nepal itself. Currently I am in final year and wish to join Indian army after graduation. Is there any procedures to apply being non-Indian?
