Career for a Chartered Accountant in Indian Army?
Myself Saurabh Arora,Sir. I am a Chartered Accountant qualified in NOV.09. I am 23 yrs. old. I wanted to join army after my 12th examination, but i couldn’t join it because of family resons. Now, after qualifying as a chartered accountant, i want to join army. I want to know whether i can join army now & if yes, then for which rank can i apply? And also, what will be the selection process? I also assure you that there are no physical issues regarding my body structure. I hope immediate reply from your side as soon as possible. It will be very grateful to you sir.

If you wont able to join Army just after your 12 dont worry.You have oppurtunity to join Army or Airforce this time.
Yes CA,ICWA,CWA,BA/MA (LLB) corporate law/general law etc. are recruited by Defence services mainly IAF in there Logistic Cadre/Ground duty (for IAF) and Accounts Branch. Eligibilty Criteria: You must be CA,ICWA,CWA,BA/MA (LLB) corporate law/general law etc. with at least 50% aggreagate including all semesters of B.com/M.com,must be medically fit in all respect. Age Limit: 27 years for CA,before commenment of training. Selection: selection is based on both written and interview and at last Medical fitness test. Notification: are released twice every year probably in the month of march and September in Employment News.So keep iot reading. Best of Luck |

A qualified Chartered Accountant are most welcomed in Government Service, Public Sector undertakings etc. You can take Combined Defence Services Exam (CDSE) conducted by UPSC for opportunities in defence altogether,Also can take recruitment process ofSSB. This examination is held four times in a year, as advertised in, the Employment News and leading newspapers. Eligibility (As in M.E.R. Exam) 1. Essential Qualifications: Matric or its equivalent with English and Mathematics. 2. Age Limits: 16 to 23 years. 3. Physical Standards: 1. Height: 167 cms, relaxable for certain regions. 2. Weight: 50 kg, relaxable for certain regions. 3. Chest: 77/82 cm. Application Procedure Blank application forms are available, free of cost, at local Recruitment Offices, District Collector's Office, Zila Parishads and Employment Exchanges. Candidates are at liberty to send their application on plain paper, handwritten/typed but as per format. Scheme Of the Examination Paper I (Time: 45 minutes Max. Marks: 100) The eligible candidates are called for a written test in 1. General Intelligence 2. Mathematical Aptitude 3. General Knowledge. Paper II (Time: 45 minutes Max. Marks: 100) English (50 marks) 1. A Paragraph of about 15 sentences on one topic out of three or four topics. (20 marks) 2. Comprehension: A paragraph followed by 5 questions. (15 marks) 3. English Grammar: Common Errors. Narration, Voice, Articles, Propositions, Transformation of Sentences, etc. (15 marks) 4. Mathematics (50 marks) There are 5 questions of 10 marks each. The questions are generally on Fractions, Percentage, Interest, Areas and Factorization. OR IF YOU WANT TO JOIN INDIAN AIR FORCE Indian Air Force Airmen in Group 'Y' Trades : The minimum qualifications for recruitment as Airmen is Matriculation / Intermediate or equivalent examination (including 10+2) with a minimum 50% marks and pass marks in English. Eligibility : Only unmarried male Indian citizens as also citizens of Nepal are eligible for recruitment. Height : Minimum 152.5 cm. Mechanical Driver : 165 cm (162.5 cm for candidates belonging to Uttaranchal and North Eastern States) with minimum leg length of 99 cm. Ground Training Instructor : 167 cm (162.5 cm for candidates belonging to Uttaranchal and North East. Technical Entry Scheme (TES) for male 10+2 (PCM) candidates. 10+2 Pass unmarried make candidates with Physic, Chemistry & Maths (PCM) with a minimum of 70% marks and between the age of 16½ and 19½ Years are eligible for the grant of permanent commission in the Army after 4 Years of technical military training with prescribed terms eligible candidates are invited through advertisement in the Employment News and other prominent dailies. Yes you have the opportunity to join the defense as Chatered Accountant,the minimum eligibility is you must have passed from the CA,ICWA,CWA with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate... Thereafter you will ave to go through the written exam followed by interview and then finally you will have to pass the Medical Fitness test.. Theses are general selection procedure for the Chartered Accountant in Indian Army.. Best Wishes.... |

I wish to apply for job in Defence Sector. I am Chartered Accountant passed CA in June,2005. I have worked mainly in Statutory Audit, but have willingness to work in any field in Finance. I worked reputed firms such as Deloitte Haskins and Sells in Pune. I am settled in Mumbai and Pune. I wish to know what position I will get in Military (Army, Navy or Air Force) and what remuneration I would get? Presently I am earning Rs. 7 lacs plus bonus p.a. |

Hey, I am a chartered accountant student and I d want to provide my services to the Honorable Indian Army. Can I do the same? I got my partial answer from the FAQs above that I d need to give the UPSC exam and the SSB board exam but I d like u to further throw some light on the DESIGNATION and the AVERAGE PAY SCALE which a CA would get in the army?
