Clarification regarding 2A certificate validity

My father has been promoted as Class 1 officer at the age of 56 years from the cadre of Group C i.e. First Division Assistant(FDA) now his income on salary basis is Rs. 5 lakhs 86 thousand per year income limit is to get 2A certificate is at Rs 6 lakhs, so is the official admissible to get 2A certificate validity for the job purpose in government of Karnataka.
