To join a Masters course in Mathematics it is a must that the candidate should have finished a graduate course in Mathematics as the main subject. The candidates must have more than 60% of mark in the bachelor's degree to pursue M.Sc.

Recently, I came to know about this Shiv Nadar University which is currently inviting applications for MS - Mathematics and the eligibility criteria is bachelors in maths/computer science/engineering/chemistry. IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madrass, Roorkee) offer two years Master of Science (MSc) programme in Mathematics or Mathematics and Computing.
For this programme, the minimum educational qualification is: Any Bachelor Degree (of at least 3 years duration) with Mathematics as one of subjects for at least two years (4 semester) + at least 55% aggregate in total marks (including all subjects of all years) Admission is made through the entrance examination called Joint Admission Test for MSc Programmes (JAM).
