M.Tech Genetic engineering is post graduate Genetic Engineering course.Genetic engineering also called genetic modification,is the direct human manipulation of an organism's genome using modern DNA technology. It involves the introduction of foreign DNA or synthetic genes into the organism of interest.The duration of Master of technology in Genetic Engineering is generally a two years but it may vary from institute to institute and may also be on part time basis by certain institutes.The syllabus for course is divided into 4 semesters plus some electives. The course is valuable and important which is job oriented and opens many career scopes for the degree holders after completion.
M.Tech. Genetic Engineering Eligibility:

• Selection to postgraduate courses in different universities is through an All India combined entrance exam conducted by JNU,New Delhi and IITs through GATE in two year/4 semester M.Tech course and through JEE.
• The marks of admission and other criteria for this course may vary from university to university.
