Presently i am doing my plus one in Biotechnology-maths stream. I am deeply interested in this topic "biotech and genetics which made me think about Genetic Engineering.As a first step towards in this field i opted for Biotechnology-maths stream.

I would like to know more about genetic engineering. Could you please tell me about the collages in India that specifically offer B tech in Genetic Engineering ? About its Entrance exams ?

If you are interested to go for higher studies in the field of Genetic Engg. then must go for a good institute of this field. The CSIR/UGC-NET examination for JRF would be a good choice. The institutes where Biotechnology labs are equipped with advanced facilities are:

Colleges in India do not offer genetic engineering as a separate course. It is only a subject in microbiology, biotechnology and biochemistry courses. There are colleges that offer post graduate courses like Bio-Informatics Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi,

IIT (Kharagpur and Delhi), MKU Coimbatore, BITS Pilani Rajasthan, etc. So it would be better if you could take a degree in one of the above mentioned courses. Thereafter you could pursue post graduate course in Genetic engineering.
