After the completion of the Xth Standard one may look to pursue either Diploma or Certificate program. There are various Universities and Institutes which offers such program through distance mode.

The Karnataka State Open University offers various Diploma program through Distance mode in various Engineering Discipline such as :

Chemical Engineering
Automobile Engineering
Computer Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering

Candidate must have passed the Xth Standard with Mathematics, in order to be eligible for these Engineering programs.
