Re: Which course is better between MBA and MCA after the completion of BCA?
You are now in just 1st semester of BCA. Still you have 3 years to time to go for post graduation. Rather than my suggestion, you are the person who can take better choice in between MBA and MCA for higher studies.
Because you have your own level of subject knowlede and your own interests and your own dreams regarding the kind of job. So, you can better judge yourself. If you are having good interest in technical studies, then go for MCA course. If you are having great interest in Management courses, then better to go for MBA course. What I suggest you is first try to finish 1 or 2 semesters of your BCA course. Then you will come to know the knowledge levels you have in your BCA and your ability to perform more and your interest in BCA course. On the basis of that decide yourself whether to go for MCA course or MBA. As you are planning to go for abroad for your further studies, MBA is the best choice in abroad. The boom of IT will be fluctuating. So, it is difficult to expect a good job through MCA course. |

Re: Which course is better between MBA and MCA after the completion of BCA?
you have reached only the first semester, right ??
so, right now don't think of higher education. Because when u set up your mind for a course now, it might change before you complete your BCA. one and a half year is a long time. so think about it and decide when you start your reach your last year. PROSPECTS OF MCA AND MBA MBA definitely has better career prospects in western countries and in the middle east. The pay scale is also much higher for MBA graduates there. while MCA course is not highly demanding in the middle east ( i was in Dubai ). In India, both MBA and MCA has a lot of opportunities. the pay scale in here purely depends upon your skill, experience. But MCA allows you to remain in your stream of study. While MBA makes you to shift your line of education and get into the management world. So, in simple language it wastes your years that you spent for BCA unless you take up something that is related to computing. So, now you have all the fact. Its your turn to make a final decision. I would suggest you to go for your interest rather than looking at the career opportunities. If you need more clarification, please do post your query right here. Thank you. |

Re: Which course is better between MBA and MCA after the completion of BCA?
Right now, you are in your 1st semester ??
well, don't think about higher education right now if you are in a dilemma, because when you set up your mind for a course it might change even before you complete your BCA.You got a whole lot of time to complete your BCA. Start thinking about it when you reach your final years. that would be better. CAREER PROSPECTS FOR MCA AND MBA well, MBA definitely has an edge over MCA in the middle east and in the western countries. MBA is more in demand there, and students usually take up MBA. the pay scale is also much higher for MBA graduates than for MCA guys. ( I was in Dubai ). So if you intend to migrate , then MBA would be a better option. In India, both MBA and MCA has good career prospects. Both are in high demand. The pay scale in the country depends upon your skill, experience. If you plan to stay in the country then go for your interest. When you go for MCA, it allows you to remain in your field of education. But when you take up MBA it changes your line of education and makes you enter the management world. In simple language, it wastes your years that you spent in learning BCA. |

You have completed your BCA degree so the BCA degree related course is MCA. If you are interested in Computer science then you must go for MCA degree.Because it will help you to achieve some good jobs. If you are interested in Management then you have to go for MBA.But it is too tough to get a job for MBA degree. From my opinion you should go MCA degree. MCA have good jobs scope in private and public sector both. Thanks |

Re: Which course is better between MBA and MCA after the completion of BCA?
hello,
you have about 3 years time to think on this topic and within this time you will deffinately differentiate between MCA and MBA..... after doing MCA you will be a software engineer where as after MBA you will be in the field of marketing, finance, management, human resourse according to the field you choose for your MBA..... but if you want to go abroad then deffinately MCA is good an as this is of the same field you are doing now so there won't be much problem in MCA but MBA is very different from BCA....if you will do MBA then you will choose a completely different field and once again you have to start from the begining..... so i will suggest to do MCA than that of MBA if you think of a better future... |

All course are good If you have interest in that. In my opinion you should think on your own that which course is good for you. If which course is easy for you. But if you asking in my opinion M.B.A is good after B.C.A because it make your earning more easy. For admissions in top college you have to qualify the C.A.T, MA.T, X.A.T etc. Some of the top M.B.A college are:- Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM C) Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM B) Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM L) XLRI - Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur ISB - Indian School of Business, Hyderabad FMS - Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM I) Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM K - Calicut) ALL THE BEST! |

Re: Which course is better between MBA and MCA after the completion of BCA?
hi pal!
mathematics is not among the requirement to do MCA. So following is the basic criteria for you to appear the MCA entrance examination: >>you should be a science graduate or a BCA degree holder. >>You should be more than 20 years old >>In some university may ask you for minimum of 50% mark at your graduation level. >>Many of the universities intake students to their MCA program through the mark basis(no entrance examination) >>MCA is the most obvious option after your BCA degree. >>You can get good high paying jobs i the IT-hardware and IT-software field with this course. >>IT majors count MCA equivalent to B.Tech. All the best......... |
