Subjects: English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Commerce, Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Education, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Sociology, Geography, Psychology, Mass communication & Journalism, Library Science, Anthropology, Physical Education.

Eligibility: Master’s Degree in the relevant Subject with at least 55% Marks (50% Marks in respect of SC/ST/PH/VH Candidates) or an equivalent grade preceded by at least a Second Class 3 Year Honours from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University. As per UGC Guidelines, Candidates pursuing a UGC specified P.G. Degree are also eligible to appear at SET subject to the condition that they must obtain their P.G. Degree within one year from the date of holding of the SET. Age: There is no upper age limit for appearing at the SET.

Date of WB SET 2012 will be announced soon. It will be conducted probably in July. Yes you will get bengali version of question paper. You need not to write in bengali, as it is all objective from this year. All the best. Take Care
