Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) conduct a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) every year for the admission to its B-Tech and other courses offered at the IIT Mumbai, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Chennai, IIT Kharakpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IT Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad.
A candidate can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years.secure 60% or more [55% or more for SC/ST and Persons with Physical Disability (PD)] marks in aggregate in their respective Board Examination are eligible. If any Board awards only letter-grades, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks.
IIT-JEE has announced IIT-JEE 2012 notification and examination dates. In 2012, IIT-JEE will be organized by IIT Delhi and it’s been announced by the committee that there is no change in examination pattern for 2012 exams. However, the JEE committee has mentioned a few important points.

1. IIT-JEE 2012 exams registration forms will be costlier than those of previous year. This time registration form will cost Rs. 1,800 from the cash counter and if it’s applied online, then it will cost Rs. 1,600 for the aspirants.
2. The JEE committee has decided to provide free registration form to all female aspirants for IIT-JEE 2012.
3. Unlike the traditional ORS sheet, this time students will be asked to fill their responses using pen for the ORS instead of pencil.
4. Students will be given a copy of their ORS right after exaination so that they can match their answers later on, once the answer sheet is released by the committee.
5. Answer sheet will be released by the committee within 20 days from the date of examination.

IIT (Indian institute of technology).
To be eligible to appear in IITJEE you require the following-

minimum 60% marks in class 12th board.
As IIT allows only two attempts , so you can appear in JEE only for two times.

Its a very tough exam so you should prepare well for this exam.
You may join some of the premiere inst. for the preparation like Bansal classes, FIITJEE, Resonance etc..

I.I.T-J.E.E exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
After passing this exam you can take admission in Indian of Technology.

It is a national level exam.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with Physics, chemistry and maths with minimum 60% marks.
For ST/SC candidate minimum 55% mark is require..
> Must be above 17 year and below 25 year.
> Must be citizen of India.
