PET exam is given as a sort of PhD entrance in Pune University.

Details About PH.D Entrance Exam Pune

ELIGIBILITY :

i) 50% Marks or equivalent grade in Master's Degree from a recognized University.

ii) 55% Marks or equivalent grade in Master's Degree for Law faculty.

iii) 5% relaxation for reserved category students for all faculty (for Maharashtra State only).

Examination Pattern:-

The Examination will consists of Paper-I and Paper-II.

Paper-I consists of 3 Parts & Total Marks is 100
a) Language competency
b) Numerical ability
c) Logical Reasoning

Paper-II : - Subject specific Test & Total Marks is 100
a) Multiple Choice Question : 20 Marks
b) Theoretical/Descriptive Questions : 80 Marks

Notification:-
Last Year Examination Date was 14TH FEBRUARY , 2010
1. The application form will be available only online on the website http://phd.unipune.ernet.in/
2. The Application Form can be filled only online FROM 15th January, 2010 11.00 a.m. To 25th January, 2010 till 6.00 p.m.

This year Notification For PH.d has not come yet. Its Getting Delayed.

Paper - I : Research Aptitude Test

Total Marks : 100

Total Questions : 100
Each correct answer carries 1 Mark. No negative marking system.

Paper - I consists of 3 Parts :

Language competency
Numerical Ability

Logical Reasoning
Paper - II : Subject specific Test (Total Marks : 100)

Multiple Choice Question : 20 Marks

Theoretical / Descriptive Questions : 80 Marks

All the details regarding admission in Ph.D. in Pune University is provided below.
Following is the eligibility criteria:-
1. You should have at least 50% Marks in Master Degree from a recognized University.
2. You must have 55% Marks in Master Degree for Law faculty.
The Examination will consists of 2 papers.

Best to try at IISC or in Delhi IIT. Those institutes are supplemented by adequate funding and well educated supported staff.

Can somebody tell me,those students who have already cleared P.hD exams Pet in 2010.And guides were not alloted.what will happen to those students.
when there is shortage of Approved Guides.
Why to waste money in Pet Exam again.
Go for some other university But not Pune.
