SLET exam (State level Entrance Examination) is an state level entrance exam which is a small model of UGC NET exam. So its paper is strictly based upon the UGC NET exam paper, only difference is the lecturership positions which are invited only in the same state which is conducting SLET exam.

Candidate takes this exam in his/her own language or English language.
SLET exam is conducted in :

• Humanities (including languages),
• Social Sciences,
• Forensic Science,
• Environmental Sciences,
• Computer Science and Applications
• Electronic Science subjects.

Since you havent told about the state, so it is impossible for me to tell you exactly the same SLET exam. But I attached the syllabus and sample question paper with this post.

SLET exam is totally based on the NET exam of ugc.

Presently, SET is being conducted in the following states-

1. Maharashtra & Goa
2. Tamil Nadu (under consideration as on 14-07-2005)
3. Madhya Pradesh
4. Andhra Pradesh
5. Himachal Pradesh
6. Jammu & Kashmir
7. Rajasthan
8. West Bengal
9. NE-SLET (Which includes all North Eastern states and Sikkim)
10. Karnataka (Under consideration as on 14-07-2005)

You should go on the official site if you want to write any one of the above state set exam.

Syllabus is similar to that of net exam syllabus.
