Candidate seeking for admission in to the Phd program in Manonmaniam Sundaranar [M.S.]University, must have completed Master's Degree in the concerned or related discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Institution. Candidates with Open University qualification are not eligible for admission to Research programs. Admission is based on the past academic performance and performance in a personal interview conducted to assess the aptitude of the candidate.

The Eligibility criteria for admission in to the Maduraj Kamraj University and Alagappa University for the Phd program is also the same. Candidate must have completed the Master's Degree in the concerned or related discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Institution. Admission is based on Pre-Registration PhD Program Entrance Examination. Candidate with valid NET, SET & GATE scores are exempted from the Entrance Examination.
