Re: Difference between Automobile and Mechanical Engineering? Best college for Automobile Engineering in Mumbai?
About Automobile Engineering
A.E mainly deals with the study of how to design, manufacture and operate automobiles like buses, trucks, cars etc. and also their respective engineering subsystems. The responsibility of automobile engineer is always in maintaining the high standard of vehicle by the use of traditional methods and state-of-the-art technology so this trade can be grouped under vehicle engineering. Specialization courses can specialize in the areas such as aerodynamics, alternative fuels, chassis, electronics, emissions, ergonomics, manufacturing, materials, motorsport, power train, rapid prototyping, vehicle and pedestrian About Mechanical Engineering M.E involves the application of laws and principles of Physics to analyze, design, manufacture, and maintain the mechanical systems. He should understand all the concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and energy. Mechanical engineers also do research, develop, design and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical device Automobile Engineering comes under Mechanical Engineering but when the technology and the usage of various equipments in automobiles increased by a huge margin hence Automobile Trade came to existence. |

Re: Difference between Automobile and Mechanical Engineering? Best college for Automobile Engineering in Mumbai?
Key differentiators between Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering
Both mechanical engineering and automobile engineering are very important nowadays. While mechanical engineering deals with the production of mechanical devices, automobile engineering is concerned with the making of parts and designing them specifically for vehicles or automobiles. Mechanical Engineering Course and Career Opportunities Candidates who seek to join the B.E/B.Tech course in Mechanical Engineering are required to pass class 12 with Physics as well as Chemistry in addition to Mathematics subjects. Individual institutions like the IIT carry out their own exams. Some of the exams that are held for the admission into these courses are IIT-JEE and AIEEE. Students of mechanical engineering have an initial salary of around Rs 15,000 - Rs 20,000 a month. With more experience in the field, aspirants can earn as much as Rs 25,000 - Rs 40,000. Automobile Engineering Course and Career Opportunities Students who aspire to join the Automobile Engineering course are supposed to have a pass in higher secondary with a background in Science. The students are chosen on the basis of their marks attained in an entrance exam. Some of those exams are- IITJEE, AIEEE, and BITSAT. Students of automobile engineering will have an initial salary of Rs.10, 000 to Rs.15, 000 a month. Professionals of this field will have a monthly salary of approximately Rs. 40,000. |
