Difference between information science and computer science course in VTU?


(my first attempt at asking this question seems to have failed for it is not showing up here, so re-posting...)

Hi, can someone please let me know the difference between Information Science and Computer Science courses in VTU? I have to make a trade-off between an Information Science seat in a higher ranked college versus a Computer Science seat in a relatively lower ranked college, and was unsure how to proceed. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

Thre is no big diferance. Some papers will bw change from the fift semester. But the valuable
course is Computer science

I did my B.E in Information science and engineering and M.Tech in computer science and engineering. And since from 3 years I am working in computer science department as a Asst.Proff. Now they are shifting me as a Asst. Proff to Information Technology department, becoz of my B.E is in Information science. I want to continue in CSE only.
How can tell them that both ISE and CSE are same. Is there any proof please let me know
