Quote:
Both the students from the two disciplines are eligible for AMIE-Associate member of Institute of Engineers. Just you have to get registered in the Institute of engineers and that's all you have to get registered for the AMIE Course after that. The AMIE Course is completed with two sections one is Section A and the other is section B Section A consists of the main important subjects of the traditional engineering courses. Section B. Consists of specialized subjects in the same engineering course that is if you enroll for ECE then the specialized will be teached in this section. In this way you will complete the AMIE Course for any further doubts you can logon to the official website of Institute of Engineers. www.ieindia.info Good Luck ~AdityA~ |

Re: Difference of doing AMIE after 12th and after diploma?
There is not difference between doing AMIE after 12th and after diploma. For becoming an Associate Members of the Institute of Engineers it is a must to clear the exam. On clearing the test the candidates become Corporate member for the Institute of Engineers. For appearing for this exam either the candidates will need to have completed 12th standard. It is a must to have a minimum of 45% aggregate score. The other option is that the candidates need to have completed their Diploma in Engineering. Also they need to be at least 18 years. Also they need to practising under Certified Corporate Member. There are two parts to this exam. Those who are Diploma holders will need to appear for only certain paper, the rest are exempt. They will also need to complete their Project work to appear for the part two. The duration of this normally 3-4 years. It is considered equivalent to the graduation course.
