Dear friend,
you can do M TECH if you are interested in higher studies Now a days, there is recession and the companies are looking for post graduates and companies are preferring them So you can do the PG and after your PG the industry will be on growing and you will get more opportunities and more payment So take a decision according to your interest Good luck |

its really a good decision.
After btech if you pursue mtech you have good future. Because already having subject knowledge. Future prospects will be so high ---------- Post added at 11:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:34 PM ---------- Its definitely a good option of doing mtech after btech. but getting through the entrance exam for getting admission into mtech will be a little bit tough. So prepare well for that. if you dont have interest or enough knowledge in mtech , then choose MBA |

its a nice question and its totally for your future. after your graduation level. if you get any job in any where then have 2 years of job experience if you need it. if not then concentrate on my words 1. if you are interested in studying further and also interested in teaching then go for the M.TECH. 2.IF YOU are interested in earning then go for Mba good luck |

Re: Doing M.Tech after B.Tech(IT) is good or not?
hi!
Yes, of course doing Mtech after completing btech is a right decision. it will increase your career prospect with handsome pay package & lucrative perks. The companies want their employees to be specialized in their required field so that they can do the job of more than one person to reduce the company’s losses. In this respect Mtech degree will be a boon for you. After completion of their mtech degree in IT, the students can also try their luck in teaching jobs in some colleges or Universities. |

Re: Doing M.Tech after B.Tech(IT) is good or not?
well this is an important decision to be taken by every engineeing student
we have a lot of options like on campus , off campus, MBA, Mtech, civils etc etc but among all these each and every option has its own importance first analsys your self, list out your strong points if your r technically sound well don't make any second thought opt for Mtech because all the hardware companys are recuiting mtech guys i will say a few edges of MTECH 1) you will excell in domain knowledge 2) you have a scope in joining in Research and Development 3) chance of becoming a scientist at ISRO (dream it you will succeed ) 4) you can get a good job in core companies 5) at least you will get a job of assistant professor all these are applicable only if you get mtech in good colleges i.e. in IITS, NITS, or atleast top 10 colleges in your state or else better dont opt for mtech because doing in mtech in an ordinary college with worst labs and infrastructure will never help you in your career please mind it and prepare for GATE very well atleast get a RANK below 2000 you will have a scope of realising above mentioned things. hope i have answered your question still need any more help feel free to ask mail me at for gate guidance mail me i will definately help you |

Hi,
The decision depends on one's capability and interest only. If you want to strengthen your skills in IT then you can proceed or else you have a better option going for MBA in IT Management. |

Re: Doing M.Tech after B.Tech(IT) is good or not?
obviously higher study is always good.
but it will depend on your interest. if you only one to do job in industry throughout your whole life then B.Tech is sufficient for industrial job. then there is no need to do M.Tech. now if you want to go for research field or you want to be an lecturer then M.Tech is necessary. so in that case you should complete your M.Tech. even if you only want to stay in industry then you also you may complete your M.Tech if you have interest. higher qualification will give you more opportunity and easy promotion. so it is best to complete M.Tech. best wishes. |

HI,
Doing M.Tech after B.tech(IT) is good *if you are interested in doing PG (or) *if you are not satisfied with B.Tech percentage or knowledge (or) *if you are not satisfied the job you got in a particular company so to get the job in one of the most popular companies you can do M.tech. * But if you got the job in one of the most company which are popular like infosys , wipro etc and you are satisfied with that job after B.TECH it is better to do job rather than M.TECH because the companies will prefer the experienced candidates first. GOOD LUCK |

Re: Doing M.Tech after B.Tech(IT) is good or not?
Dear friend
Yes Definately ! M.tech is the best option after completing B.tech. The Master Degree will definately helps you to provide you the best jobs in Future. But, M.tech is basically for Research, if you want to do Lecturer in future, then M.tech is best option. But, if you want to do job, then M.tech is not best for you. So, Basically its depends on your interest. If you want to do, this course, then go for it. Otherwise do some job and get some work experience. This will helps you, to get good jobs in future with high salary pacakage. |

Good choice.........
=> M.Tech is not a matter the college which you doing is main thing => Try to come through GATE exam, you will get stipend approved by AICTE => While doingM.Tech lot of experience like teaching, attending conferences. => if you go to colleges side the will give high salary => in software company they wount see your resume also... because M.Tech is high qualification for them, because there is no job for most of BE students => with M.Tech you are entering into company you should have good practical experence.......... |

Everything depends upon your interest, you can go for M.tech stream if you need specialization in any course.
After B.tech you can definitely go for M.tech, but now a days M.tech in IT stream is equal to the experience certificate of 2 years so you can try to get selected in the campus selections. If your interested in teaching field then M.tech is must so you can go for M.tech field depending upon your interest. all the best |

My dear friend, nowadays situation is entirely different for the engineers....we are in competitive world...every year lakhs of engineers is coming out with BE OR BTECH....so as for my concern, with ug certificate alone we cant able do anything in the world....so higher studies is essential nowadays....nowadays several navarathna indian company such as bhel.ongc, ioc preferring pg candidates...but getting good stamp from (iit, nit) is so important for mtech...so prefer mtech after ur btech....

Re: Doing M.Tech after B.Tech(IT) is good or not?
opting for higher studies is a good one but it would be the best if you can complete your m.tech form a reputed university, this would even fetch you with greater salary than which you can get now. otherwise it is better to do a job rather than getting a m.tech certificate from a normal uinversity. you can even pursue your m.tech after working for 2 or 3 years but ince you get used to the job it really takes a long time and needs a lot of interest to get back on to the track of studies. everything depends on your interest now. so think twice before you act.
all the best for your future |

Re: Doing M.Tech after B.Tech(IT) is good or not?
It is better to do M.Tech (IT) after B.Tech(IT) in the sense that you are elivated from other compatitor (B.Tech (IT)). It is good to choose Teaching Profession after M.Tech (IT). M.Tech (IT) is good if you go for research or any software company which involve in creating programmes. B.Tech (IT) is enough for Immediate job search in IT firms.

It depends on which career line you like to pursue, if you want to stick to a technical profile and do further studies on any area in IT, then definitely Mtech is the best option for you. But if you are looking for just a career then there are other options like MCA and MBA. Usually Mtech is taken by those who want to pursue a career in research or scientist or academic profiles

M tech is pg degree for engineers and other master degree holder which basically brings you in research field
so if you are interested and have interest in research sector than no doubt you should join m tech but be aware m tech is not like b. tech in college selection so be confirmed that you are joining a good college having good faculty profile and having good status ex all iits, nits, iiits, central university, and some other state universities all the best for your future . |

Re: Doing M.Tech after B.Tech(IT) is good or not?
You have two fields to choose, if at all you want to go for higher studies:
MTech: If you want to remain associated with your subject and find your career in it MBA: If you want to mix business & marketing into your technical skill and want to open job prospects in companies working for things other than your field. Both options are good, and both have equally bright future prospects. Furthermore, if you are an IT graduate, there is much more scope if you do any of these, than if you go directly for job. It is ultimately your choice. |

Hi
M.Tech is the good option for the B.Tech student if they are interested in further studies. There are lots of job opportunity for the M.Tech student and they will get higher packages also available for the M.Tech student comparatively. So its a great option for you to do M.Tech because if you do M.Tech you will get the complete knowledge of your field in depth. Beside this you are also able to research on your studies while doing M.Tech. So go ahead for M.Tech if you are interested in it. But note one doing M.Tech from some better college is good for you. For this it is good to apply for the GATE examination and score well in that examination. You will definitely get some good college. GOOD LUCK |

hello,
yes m.tech is definitely a good option after m.tech especially for those who want to pursue their career in lecturer ship or technical line after b.tech.And one need study extra for this because the paper has all the questions from the four year syllabus of b.tech only and a bit of general aptitude which one can easily attempt. But if one need to change his career line after b.tech then MBA is a good option for the person. Choice is all yours good luck |
