Sir,
I am a girl.B.tech student, of age 21 and i want to join the Indian army. Actually my height is 149 cms.
I am a state level basket ball player.
Also i am my college's branch topper of 6th semister.
I also have an eyesight problem of -1.50.
Please let me know if I can join the Indian Army.

You can join Indian army through TGC (engineering),Short Service Commission Tech Women,University Entry Scheme.

TGC
Age: 20 to 27 yrs
Qualification :BE / B Tech in notified streams of Engineers.
Maritial status:Un Married / Married
Training Academy :IMA

Short Service Commission Tech Women

Age : 19 to 25 yrs
Qualification: Engineering Degree in notified discipline
Marital Status: Un Married
Training Academy: OTA Chennai

University Entry Scheme

Age: 19 to 25 yrs for Final Year, 18 to 24 yrs for Pre Final Year
Qualification: Final and Pre-Final year students of Engineering Degree Course
Marital Status:Un Married
Training Academy: IMA

ya some time the criteria is 50% so u r egilible but not always...... try to improvr our degree .........

Engineering graduate students can sucessfuly join Indian defence forces through various entry modes which are exclusively for Engineering graduates only.

Following are the main entry mode for Engineering graduates only:

University Entry Scheme (UES) : This is one of the prestigious entry mode for engineering graduate who wish to join Indian Defence forces right after completing their graduation. To be eligible for this the candidate must be within the age limit of 16 1/2 to 19 years and must have 60% in BE/B-Tech. Candidates
may apply in pre final year also. This entry mode is just for unmarried, male Indian candidates.

Aeronautical/Mechanical engineers direct entry scheme for Engineering degree holders : Under this entry scheme , BE/B-Tech students are recruited directly without appearing for the written examination, only need to clear SSB intrview. FeMale candidates are recruited as SCC and male candidates are recruited as both PC and SSC. Eligibility criteria for this is as same as UES.
