You have to be a graduate under any recognized university to appear in the IRS exam.

Along with the Indian Nationality it is important that you should have completed at least 21 years of age. Your age should not exceed 30 years. Also it is important that you complete your graduation. The forms should be available in the month of February.

IRS offer two courses 1> 1 year PG diploma in retail management. 2> 2 year program in life style retailing. the eligibility criteria for this courses is 1> candidate should complete their graduation from any recognized university in order to stand eligible for PGDM course provided by the institute. 2> candidate must have completed 10+2 lavel from any recognized university in order to stand eligible for this two year courses. respectively.. thanking you

Selection is through the Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC
Selection criteria is same as of Civil Services Examinations

Date of Notification/Last date for receipt of applications: 2.1.2011 - 01/02/2011
Date of Commencement of examination and its duration: 23rd May , 2011 (One day)
Minimum academic qualifications prescribed: A degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
Age Limits: 21-30 years as on 01.08.2011 (Upper age relaxations to SCs/STs, OBCs)
Max. 4 attempts (7 attempts for OBCs, no limits for SCs/STs)
Remarks: Candidates appearing at the degree examination also eligible to compete subject to certain conditions

I am a little confused... Are you talking about Indian Revenue Services or Indian Retail School? Entry to the Indian Revenue Services is through the Civil Services Examination conducted by the Government of India. All details can be found http://civilserviceindia.com/. They have a Prelim Exam and then the mains. Minimum eligibility is a degree from recognised university.
