All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) offers M.Sc courses in various subjects like Nephrological Nursing, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Nuclear Medicine Technology. Those with qualifications like MBBS, BDS, B.Sc or B.V.Sc can seek admission to these courses. But for M.Sc in Nuclear Medicine Technology, bachelor degree holders in subjects such as Nuclear Medicine, Chemistry, Radio Diagnosis, etc can only apply. Moreover, eligible applicant must obtain the required qualification with a minimum of 60% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc Courses in AIIMS

Candidates applying for M.Sc Courses in AIIMS should satisfy certain eligibility requirements in common. Eligible candidate must have any of the following degree qualifications with a minimum of 60% marks.

  • MBBS
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science
  • Bachelor of Physio-therapy
  • Bachelor of Science

General/OBC candidates having MBBS/BDS degree as qualification need to have at least 55% marks in the qualifying exams. SC/ST candidates can expect 5% relaxation in qualifying exam marks.

Eligibility requirements for certain courses like M.Sc in Perfusion Technology, M. Biotechnology and M.Sc in Nuclear Medicine Technology are different from general criteria mentioned above.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc in Nuclear Medicine Technology

Eligible candidate must hold bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines.

  • Chemistry
  • Life Sciences (with Physics as a subject)
  • Mathematics
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Physics
  • Radio Diagnosis
  • Radiotherapy

For seeking admission to M.Sc in Perfusion Technology, eligible candidate must hold bachelor’s degree either in Botany or Zoology. In case of Masters in Biotechnology, applicant must be B.Tech/B.Sc holder in Biotechnology.

Candidates interested to take admission to M.Sc in Nursing should hold B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Certificate) or B Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute. For General/OBC candidates, the required qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 60% marks.

AIIMS carry out admissions on the basis of candidate’s performance in entrance test (conducted at the institute). To qualify each student should obtain at least 50% marks in the entrance test.
