Hello there,
I have completed my degree in electronics and communication engg from A.J college of engineering, Chennai. I am planning to do Embedded systems course from an institute named Cranes varsity in Banglore and the course duration is 6 months. They said that they give placement assistance too.
I want to know the scope of embedded system engineers in India. Some of my friends say that there are people who are still jobless even after doing courses and some dont work for the same domain. They added that doing course is waste of time, money.
Can I go ahead with my ideas or should I drop my ideas of doing the course. I am really confused. I Will be waiting for your suggestions and advise. If possible contact me through skype.

first of all there is no any doubt that this course have really very good scope of job in india.

and the institute about which you are mentioning is well reputed institute of the india.

if they are saying that they will provides you placements then this also true ,but for this

you have to give the on line exam conducted by the institution after the course is

finishes and after getting marks.and on the basis of the marks the placement is being

decided.

I understand that the field you have chosen is really an interesting field..
but the problem is your background.. i don't say that it is not possible or no scope for but the drawback would be lack of knowledge..
So I would advise to start from the basics of electronics..make your foundation of electronics a bit strong read good journals and hang out with people who are pretty close to this field and gain as much knowledge you can from them..thats would really help you because at this stage you cant just go back ECE right??
so its better to make a foundation and then proceed..
I know its a slow process but truly effective..Then coming to scope of Emedded system is huge.. no doubt about that..
so have no fear and start as early as possible..

The embedded system course is developing in India and has a bright future ahead. So judging about its scope is a bit tough. But i can say that if you have interest go for it. If you are the best you get the best.

The salary ranges from 4 to 5 lakhs per annum . It depends on your skill.

There are lots of companies hiring like wipro,Cisco and otehr MNC companies.

Que: I would like to know what are the fields a BE ECE graduate can choose? I completed my BE(ECE) in 2010 with 62%. Right now im working in a BPO as technical support engineer cuz I wanted some time to think about which field to choose. Now im really confused. Was my decision a right one? I've to be here in this company for another 4 more months since there was a bond for 6 months. So with in this time i gotta take a decision. Please help me. Im waiting for your reply...

Dear friend
You can get jobs in software companies and core electronics companies after doing courses in embedded system.
Some huge industries do have embedded system in the the controlling section of te plant together with PLC. So there you may get a job but if you really want to work related to it you should go for an electronic company. It is bit diffiult to get a job in a core electronic company so you can start with a software company and then after 3-4 years switch over to a major electronic company.

Believe it ... You ask persons who are searching for job in this domain they will tell remaining of this ...You may get job in project centers or training center but we cant get in industries or MNC concerns.. Dont do any course in private institutes , its merely waste of money ,they will teach you only theory and very few practicals ..Zero percent placement only you will get from them..If you are really interested in this field , then you can learn your self .. its not difficult to make small prototype board and learn .. there are many forum and blogs for this field you can use it .. and lot of free evaluations compilers and debuggers are there ... Dont spend 50k and 6months duration for useless course ... Of-course there are course like DESD from CDAC government of india ,you may join those but placement not assure ... Think twice what you r doing ....

Now i am looking for MNC but me was rejected in interview even though i did well in interview. now me worried that i will get trough MNC or not . is there good future for my current profile ..?
i feeling that me was rejected bcoz of my low aggregate in B E...?
plz help me to come out of this confusion

Very good scope in this field. Number of mnc in india are working in this field so go for this course.
As far as the institute it is better to do course from CDAC.

please suggest to me . is it correct dession or not to my profile. is it option to do course from CDAC hyderabad, how is the placements in this institute in 2011, i will wait for ur suggetion about this one . after ur reply i wiil apply for the c-dac exam.i have one year project in 2nd year so i want to do the course in this period.

hi if u have 2 years of exp. in embedded s/m no body will consider your aggregates... they were not considering u because may be their pjt getting delayed or their requirement does nt matches. the consultancy will simply send the person to companies and waist our time...

I am 2010 pass out batch(B.Tech in Electronics and instrumentation). I am in great confusion as i have applied for embedded designing course from CDAC for March 2011 batch. But at the time of application fill-up i was deperased so i mark out the DSSD (Pune) as second choice. After deceleration of result i got DSSD (Pune). But my problem is that i want to join DESD course because i am very much keen about electronics.
I also did lot of things related to embedded system during my academic period. So please sir give me your valuable response.
is this course entirely different from DESD?
Is there any relation in between these courses?
Should i wait for 6 month again for DESD course?
or there is any alternative solution.
As i have very short duration to join the offered course so Please give me your good time as soon as possible.

Hi Friends...I would like to give Some advice for Fresh Graduates...It is Waste to do Embedded Course In india...My aggregate in U.G(B.E - EEE) is 79%....I am very good in Electronics Design...Once I had a wish to become Embedded Programmer...I did my M.Tech(Embedded Systems) and Got 87%...I Had Won many Competitions In embedded designs and all.....I won "Best Embedded Designer award " in singapore When i was doing my P.G.......After P.G I was searching for job in Embedded Field for more than one Year in india....I got job in Flextronics For Embedded Design...They Offered Rs.4500 as my salary & I was Shocked at that moment.........It is Waste ...I was Cleaning dust For Electronic Components for 5 months.....I have more ideas...If i give any suggestions,They won't Accept...They used to tease me "Fresher".....I am better than those stupid guys....I am very good In kernel Programming and all but I DIDN"T GET EVEN A SINGLE CHANCE TO IMPROVE MY KNOWLEDGE.........Now I am Working in WIPRO as Software Engineer....Now i am in Dot.net Field............................SO My advice is Don't do Course in india....If you have Money,Do Course in National University Of Singapore (NUS)...BEst University in ASIA....You Wil get a Job For Sure.........Don't Do It in India
