No branch is bad.The salary you get in a branch depends on how you study and face interview.
As in NIT warangal,you can get upto 24lakhs package in mechanical,while in Computer Science you may get from 4 lakhs to 50lakhs.
However highest average package is for Computer Science and Engineering.

Many of the people are earning 100000Rr per month with petroliamt as there profile. But thease people made themselve to this salery after hard work. You can earn an average of 12000 to 15000 per month in the begning.
IT is the profesion with higest paid sector till date with average freser geting 15000 to 20000 per month.
If you get your degree through institutes like IIT, BHU average in every stream goes up with 5 to 10 times more.
