i completed my inter +2 in cbse [pcmb group].i got 91% in exams.which one is a better choice now-a-days medicine or engineering

Both are good in their own sense....Don't take engineering/medical or for that matter any field just because it is in demand...Try to analyze yourself,try to find out your interests and then decide which career suits you best......if you are still confused let us know your interests,where would you like to see yourself few years down the line so that we could help you in a better way.......

you must choose MBBS instead of engineering because now a days too many engineers are there but there is shortage of doctors. Also a doctor can always start his own clinic, which means he will never remain jobless. So you should forget about engineering.

iam interested to take bsc agriculture as my career, as it got a good scope

1st of all decide if u r interested in biology or physics and maths... to become a good doctor is a noble idea.. but u cant get a required seat easily.. after 5yrs MBBS, you should do ur masters wch is expensive if u dont get a merit seat.. masters is for 2yrs.. then u should work as a junior doctor for a few yrs before setting up ur owm clinic.. it take some time to get settled..

but after BTech(4yrs) u can start working od again do masters(2yrs) and get a good job..

Both of them are good and a good career prospect if you do it with sincerity. There is a huge demand in both the sectors. So it would be best if you ask yourself that which line is of your interest, the medical or technical, because in both these lines you have to work hard and with a lot of sincerity. Your marks are excellent, and im sure you have a good concept. So, choose and decide what you feel is right.

You can consult your parents and teachers regarding the same.

you can choose MBBS instead of engineering because now a days too many engineers , but there is shortage of doctors. Also a doctor can always start his own clinic, which means he will never remain jobless.but may be jobless.

At present, only 150 seats are there in government medical colleges for MBBS.
But from next year, the seats will incresed upto 250. So, from the next academic session there are 250 seats availaible in government medical colleges for MBBS.
All seats(private+gov.) are going to be increased in all till 3700 seats.

in that constract there are 1700 engg. colleges,with 5 lac graduating.

thus,see where you want to go.

For this you must clear the 12th std. board exam successfully in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects.

But if you are interested in the medical field then apply for the MBBS entrance exams..

i will suggest u to study whatever u want,it u have interest in math u may go to Engineering sitting in WBJEE,AIEEE,IITJEE etc.

if u have interest in Biology,ucan sit various Medical entrance exams such as WBJEE,AIPMT etc

But in this world situation i can say to choose u Medical SC.

what does the COMPULSORY SUBJECT mean here?
does it mean that mathmatics, physics and chemistry be main subject?
what if biology, physics and chemistry be main subject and maths be additional subject?

according to my point of view it totally depend upon student.if he is interested in biology .then obviously he must choose MEDICAL line.bt if he is interested in physics ,chemistry&math then he can choose engg line.bt both lines r very good.bt i personally suggest u that if u choose engg line.then u don't take any software based stream .because now software market is very down.so u must select any core stream in engg sector.
so take decission & make ur future bright.

first of all congratulation for your good result in 12th.

both the courses are good in their field there is nothing good or bad.

now a days every year lakhs of engineeriners are coming to the market. many private colleges are also opening in a higher rate. hence a little unemployment has been found in this field.

medical is always a novel work and it will also give you a bright career.

but still it totally depends on your interest .

you decide to which line you will choose.

You can choose the field in which you are interested. You can choose the subject based on the field in which you want to build up your career. Both the subjects have wide scope. It depends on your personal interest.Since you have take both biology and maths you can go for biomedical engineering or bioinformatics.

According to me as compared to engineering, medical is good. Because it has higher chance of getting govt. job and if you dont get job also you can earn. At last i will say that its your choice.

Every one has the own interests ,try to find it out. if you are interested in studying subjects like anatomy or physiology you can choose medical. otherwise if you are interested in physics,technology related subjects you can choose Engineering .All the best

Can i do Aerospace Engineering if i take pcmb in 11th and 12th?

It is really nice decision if you try for the engineering entrance exams. But you need to be very good in mathematics.

There are atleast 10-15 entrance exams you can give after your 12th as you have PCM at 12th. The list is given below with the details of the exams :-

It is all your interest. Engineering is all dealing with machines, progarmming and stuffs where as medical is living science. First of all explore your own interest. Also do consider on how you want your life to be, if you have the patience to study for years if you opt on medical as to earn more in that field you need a M.D and a specialisation. Thats not the case with engineering. You get out with a B.E/B.Tech degree from a very good college. You can start off with an awesome salary.

It is totally based on your interest in subjects

if you are very interested in doing your self business in medicine or to work as a doctor then you must opt for MEDICINE
If you are interested in doing job in companies such as TCS/INFOSYS
then you should go for ENGINEERING.

and other then the above options you can also go for PHARMACY as a career thereare lots more scope in thisfield also.

medicine is way more fun and prestigious, u get to interact with people rather than sit behind a computer all day long

AFTER 10 2 PCMB STUDENT, WHAT ENTRANCE EXAMS THAT CHILD CAN GIVE, AND TELL US ABOUT OTHER OPTIONS ALSO.

Its better to choose engineering which is comparatively easy when compared to medical.you can also get your degree before the medical.The cost for doing the medical is high when compared to engineering.If you have passion towards the medical field then only you should go for it.

I m an mbbs final year student.see the point is that u hav to giv entrance exams first.i had to read 8text books for biology alone to get 91/100 in bio entrance.u hav to get equally good marks in physics nd chemistry.getting selected in mbbs in government college for mbbs in first attempt is an achievement in itself.if u r an open catagory student like me then its even more difficult.there is allmost 50% reservation.even if u do get selected.do u hav the heart to cut open a human cadaver in the first week of college? Success rate for passing 1st year in mbbs is around 60%-75% ie25%-40% of the guys who managed to get an admission by scoring so well in entrance tests fail here.there is no a.t.k.t.in 1st year mbbs.even after all this u need lots of patience nd nerves of steel to become an mbbs.u cant even imagin the competition for a pg degree like md/ms.if u manage to do it then u will make millions.but u should ask yourself if u hav the time energy and resources to get there.if not then mbbs is not for u. .ps-u dont choose mbbs it chooses u

Engineering and Medical are both parallel fields, but nowadays engineering is like a boom . Everybody wants to become an engineer weather good or bad.

1.) MBBS

Actually Medical MBBS is a very long term course. So most of the people prefer not to go for it. MBBS itself is of 5 years ( if you don't hold any back) and mind you just MBBS won't do much help if you not having specialization in any part like ENT, Heart, Brain, Urology, Gynecology etc. So specialization would also take another couple of years or more, and then you have to gain 5 years experience with senior doctors in some good hospital to gain momentum and establish yourself, so that people get to know you, your medicines and your doctorate.

2.) ENGINEERING

Whereas Engineering is not short though, but yeah its easy, you don't have to risk anyone's life while you are operating in your core field , unlike doctors for whom every operation is an examination !

Rest, engineering in any discipline is a 4 year course. You have to study it from a good college and you can be placed in some reputated company which visits your campus for placements.
Or you can take another two years for your M Tech or MBA whichever you choose and then create quality out of yourself, and you would be no distant from a fat salary and a good post in an MNC.

One thing, in todays scene, where many engineering colleges have come up in India, I suggest if you are to make name, then work hard, and get admission in one of the govt. colleges, IIT's, NIT's , BITS, DCE etc.

So now you can decide which ever you want to choose.

I love Studying Biology and also love solving Algebra but i hate commercial arithmetic. I don't know wats the exact scope in Biology in the coming years but have heard that its tougher than Std.10 ICSE Biology. what should I do?

You can prepare for IIT-JEE or AIEEE for engineering.after completing your science in college.
for these engineer you have to keep combination of your sub as PCMB( phy,che.mat,bio/other) in 12 th level.For any engineering course mathematics is compulsory.you have to give entrance examination for studied these engg.and obtained good rank.After selected in the iit-jee or aieee you can take admission in any national level good engg. colleges.or you can also prepare for state level jee examination.
>also you can prepare for medical after science by taking sub.combination as PCBM in 12th level.
>also you can prepare for defence line.
so just choose what are want to do and what is aim.

since you have not mentioned you current studies condition it is difficult to explain completely according to your choice.
