I am studing 3year 2sem btech(ece). I am an average student. I want to get a government job.Which type of exams i have to attend and what kind of preparation i have to do?

Hello,

There are well opportunities for electronics engineers in the Govt sector and as well as in the private sector.

The convenient and secure one is of course the Govt sector.
You can appear in the UPSC conducted IES(Indian Engineering Service) exam to get a govt job.

After graduation,you can apply for this exam. The notifications come out in the employment news articles or national daily newspapers.

Also to join the BSNL as a Junior Telecom officer you can appear in the BSNL-JTO entrance exam held every year in the months of april-may.

So start preparing yourself for these exams from right now at 3rd year of your graduation.

Look out for study materials online and offline both ways. And keep on practicing with these along with preparation of semester studies.

According to my opinion the best Government Job for an Electronic Student is

IES= Indian Engineering Service

this exam is conducted by UPSC delhi

this exam is conducted yearly to the final year or completed b.tech graduates

this exam has syllabus similar to GATE

and after this the next preference goes to

research jobs..in ISRO or DRDO

each of these job hiring exams are specifically conducted by the organisation indepedently..

so regularly follow the employment news for updates regarding them

these exams will also have similar syllabus to GATE

so work hard right from this stage which will help you a lot..

You have a great opportunity as you are in 3rd year.
you should prepare for ISRO,DRDO,NTPC exams.
Start preparing from today and i am damn sure you can crack one of these exams.

IES Exam is conducted by UPSC once a year for slection of engineers for various departments in government.

The Notifications are published in the Employment Newspaper in the month of January.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Must have engineering degree
2. Age should be in between 21 to 30 Years.

You are eligible to apply for it only if you are having a minimum age of 21 years.

Then only you can apply for it.

i m btech ece 6th sem student and want to go on software field but there is a confusion bcoz i m not in use to such type of software programming rather than it or cse stnt so plz sugges me

ANS:Learn more and get gripe of your subject because every gov.jobs question will give 90% questions from our subject only################################

you are not eligible for any software company because you are in 3 rd year student after completion of your 4 the year you are eligible for below govt organization.

1. BSNL
2. MTNL
3. Reliance Telecommunication Ltd.
4. SAIL
5. BHEL
6. BALCO
7. State Electricity Board
8. Bhartiya Telecom Ltd.
9. Airport Authority of India Ltd.
10. GAIL etc.

After completing B.E. or B.Tech. ECE students can apply here and after selection they can get better job & handsome salary.
