If you want government jobs then at present there are two good options for you. First is to apply for Indian Engineering Service Exam else you can apply for Public Sector Undertaking jobs. The choice is yours.



IES

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service. If you have completed B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Electronics and Communication Engineering then you can apply for the Indian Engineering Service.


The exam is conducted to fill vacancies in various government departments. It is an annual entrance exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.


Eligibility

1. You should be of Indian origin.

2. B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Electronics and Communication Engineering.

3. There is no percentage criteria.

4. Age limit is 21 to 30 years.

5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC while 5 years for SC/ST.




Public Sector Undertaking

PSU is a company which is controlled by the government of India. The government is major stakeholders in such companies. At present there are more than 150 PSU companies in the country.


These companies conduct separate entrance exam to recruit engineering graduates. You surely can apply for job in any of the company if it requires candidates of EEE stream. To do so you must meet the criteria mentioned below.


Eligibility

1. A B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

2. Minimum of 60 percent marks.

3. A valid GATE score, no more than 2 years old.

4. There should be no pending backlog.

5. Age limit is 21 to 30 years.

6. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

7. SC/ST are also given 5 years relaxation.

• Government jobs are available in good numbers and the notification is being put up every year with varying vacancies.

• I would suggest you not only to depend on government job as the competition for the same is high.

• You can apply for both state and central government jobs. State government vacancies are filled through respective government exam and central government thought IES exam.

Nice to see you in the B.Tech field. If you want to go in the government job after completing the B.Tech course then you have lots of option available.

After completing the B.Tech course in Electrical & Electronics Engineering you can appear in the Civil Services examination. In today age the every competition is really tough so you need to work hard. Without hard work you can not qualify the competition. You have also another option like SSC, IBPS, UPSC....and many other examination.

You can also try for many other company like SAIL, BHEL, GAIL...etc. I advise you to first complete the graduation degree with good marks and then think about the job.

you can start preparing for GATE exam which will help you to crack all the technical competitive exams.

With this gate score you can enter into:

* BHEL
* NLC
* POWER GRID
* DRDO
* SAIL
* NTPC etc

Apart from this with the GATE preparation you can write JTO (Junior technical officer) exam with which you can enter into BSNL.

You can also write PWD exam conducted by UPSC and the IES exam. with these exams you can enter into central government jobs.
