Is foundation compulsory for everyone for cs (company secretary)? what is the scope of cs?

i hav just completed b.com. i want 2 join cs(company secretary)IS any scope of this course and in which fields?? is any exemption available 4 graduate students or foundation is compulsory for everyone????please reply answers 4 my queries as soon as possible. io shall be highly thankful to you.

Miss Chugh, if you have completed your B.com then you will directly be enrolled in inter program. company secretary is the chief administrative officer of an organisation who specialises in law,procedures and corporate secretaryship..
every company whose paid up capital is above Rs. 5 crores must appoint a full time CS.
so, this degree apart from company administration has scope in SEBI, information audit,credit agency audit, CS can appear as an attorney in company matters though, he can practices until he is a LLB.
CS, like CA, could be practiced independently , and government is increasing its scope of activites everyday. so, its a wonderful profession to set foot in.

A candidate possessing any of the following qualifications or any other qualifications recognized by the Council of the ICSI with the approval of the Central Government as equivalent thereto, is exempted from passing the Foundation examination:

(i) A Degree or master's degree in Corporate Secretaryship or Commerce:
(ii) Pass in the Final examination of the Institute of Cost and Works Accounts of India or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or any other Accountancy Institution in India or abroad recognized as equivalent thereto by the Council: or
(iii) A degree or master's degree in any disciplines other than Final Arts.

dont worry there are very wide scope in cs. in every company cs jobs are required.

I can send you all the details regarding admission procedure in CS you just post your mail id here or else visit the official website of ICSI i.e. icsi.edu. you need not to prepare for foundation course as you have completed your graduation you can directly enrol in inter stage of CS course. And now regarding scope of CS m a trainee of cs course i will complete my cs soon then i will enter into real world as it seems to me the scope of cs course is no where less but would like to suggest you to take CA along with CS or CS cum LL.B as both are good options with CS.

ya ! you have to clear the foundation before entering into the cs and There is a huge demand of Company Secretary in USA, India, UK and some western countries.
The successful individual company secretary will acquire a job in
Departments of Company affairs, Stock Exchanges, Government Departments, Company Law Boards and he can start up Company Secretaryship Consultancy firm too.best of luck

Dear Friend

As u have completed B.com you need not appera for CS Foundation
YOu can directly go for intermediate Stage.

CS is one of the best course for a commerce stream student.

After completing the course you can have good carear in Job or if you complete the article training you can start your own practise too.

there are lot vacancies available if you pursue the ICS or CA exams after your BCS, which is a basic degree. the advanced degree is far better to get the administrative jobs in the private sector, which can pay very high salary for the above said qualifications.
