To apply for IAS examination, you need to complete your graduation, Because graduation is the minimum eligiblity to apply for IAS examination. To become IAS officer, you need to appear for UPSC Civil services examination and this examination was held 2 times in a year and this examination was held in 2 stages, First Preliminery examination and Other Main Examination. And if you have clear both the examination then you have to appear the final Interview and then you will become IAS officer. But to appear in this examination Your age should between 21 to 30 years. The general candidates will not get any relaxation on Age, The age relaxation is only applicable for SC, ST and OBC Candidates. And the General candidates will gets only 4 attempts in this examination and OBC will get 7 and no limits for SC, ST candidates in Civil services examination. So, i will suggest you, please complete your graduation first and then apply for IAS examination. And if you want to get complete information regarding IAS Examination, then please visit the official website of UPSC - http://www.upsc.gov.in |

The very first thing is a candidate can apply for IAS or any f the civil services only after passing graduation.
You cannot apply for IAS just after 10 class. And there is no such exam for IAS after 10. Eligibility Criteria for IAS: 1. Age: 21-30 years (relaxation is given to candidates of reserved category i.e for OBC candidates relaxation is of 3 years and for SC/ST candidates relaxation is 5 years.) 2. Educational qualification: Bachelors degree from a recognised university in any stream. 3. Gender: Both male and female candidates can apply for this. 4. Number of permissible attempts: Number of permissible attempts for general category is 4. For candidates belonging to OBC category has 7 number of permissible attempts. And for SC/ST candidates there is no limit. |
