Re: How should I become an IAS officer after passing 10th?
Graduation is the basic qualification preferred for IAS. You need to pass 11th, 12th, and graduation to join to the position of IAS Officer. Selection to the position is done through UPSC conducted entrance exam and interview. English language, Indian Polity, mental ability, geography, Indian history, world history, general studies, etc is the topics asked for the exam. You age must be between 21 and 30 years.

The Different stages of the Civil Services Exam are : 1) Preliminary Examination 2) MAINS Examination 3) Interview Note : Each N Every candidate has to crack all the above mentioned stages to ensure his/her success in this exam. The Essential Requisites for the Civil Services Exam are : * The candidate must hold a Bachelor`s Degree in any stream from any UGC recognized university. * Candidates pursuing Graduation and are in final year are also allowed to appear for this exam. * The Age Limit : a) For General candidates : 21-30 yrs b) For OBC Candidates : 21-33 yrs c) For SC/ST Candidates : 21-35 yrs So , as you can see that there is no way out to become an IAS Officer right after passing the 10th standard. Re: How should I become an IAS officer after passing 10th?
You are not eligible to become IAS Officer after completion of 10th class.
one should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university in order to be eligible for IAS Exam. One should have to crack civil services exam to make entry into IAS. The complete selection procedure is by Civil Services Aptitude Test Civil Services Main Exam Interview The required age criteria for the candidates to take this exam is 21-30 years of age for the candidates of General category. 21-33 years of age for the candidates of OBC category 21-35 years of age for the candidates of SC or ST category. So, I suggest you to complete 12th class first. Once you complete 12th class, join Graduation in the stream which you are interested. Start preparing for civil services exam from the 2nd year of your Graduation and apply for this exam after completion of your Graduation. If possible, try to have preparation for this exam from a coaching institute. You should secure more marks in the Entrance Exam to be placed in IAS. keep this in mind and carry out your preparation. Wish you all the best. |
