Re: History or Economics, which is best to study in MA?
1. History or Economics, it should be selected totally upon candidate's own interest. Both are top subjects with immense career opportunities in field of teaching, academic research etc.
2. Your friend must identify his/her own interest in subject and according to it, select the best one. Both subjects from arts stream are at par. |

Re: History or Economics, which is best to study in MA?
I feel your friend should specialise in the subject she has an inclination. Economics tends to have a slight edge as far as career opportunities are concerned. However doing a subject she does not like will mean a burden in the future.
With the economy opening up there are ample opportunities in each field of specialisation, it all depends on ability to keep reading and researching in a particular field without losing interest. Always take part in all kinds of extracurricular activities as it is one way to understand one's interest and helps one increase one's knowledge and people skills, which is very important in future work places, also do small jobs during vacations be it in sales or promotions, or the service industry. It will teach her to deal with real life situations and improve her confidence tremendously. |

In coming future, Economics will have greater opportunities in different field.
From my point of view, you may go for Master of Arts in Economics. History is also good stream but as compared to Economics, it has less opportunities in coming future. |
