how i have to apply for the entrance exam of AFMC?

AFMC conducts separate entrance exam for admission to the MBBS course,
PG Degree/Diploma course and Nursing Courses.

The notification for the entrance exams are published on its official website.
http://afmc.nic.in/

The application procedure for the course is well mentioned in the notification of the exam.

The admission to MBBS courses is for everyone who meets the academic and age
criteria but admission to Postgraduate courses are generally for service officers only.
In case of extra vacancy, civilians could be allowed in the entrance exam which is
notified through the notification of the entrance exam that if civilian could participate or not.
e.g. The entrance test for PG admission in the year 2011 allowed civilians and officers both
but in the year 2012 only service officers appeared the entrance exam.

The eligibility criteria for MBBS entrance exam is,
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject.
Minimum 60% marks in aggregate in these subjects and at least 50% in the individual
subjects.
You should have passed the exam (10+2) in first attempt.
The age limit is 17-22 years.

ELIGIBLITY FOR AFMC

• Candidate should be a citizen of India.

• Candidate must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.

• Candidate should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence

• Candidate must have attained the age of 17yrs on 31st December of the year of application.

• Candidate must have passed all the subjects opted in 12th standard as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects for the qualifying examinations. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the 10th standard.

AFMC 2012 Entrance Exam Dates

• AFMC 2012 Entrance Exam Dates - May 6, 2012.
• AFMC Interview Date - To be declared only after the Entrance Examination.
• Commencement of the course - August 1, 2012
• The last date for downloading and submission of application ONLINE is March 5, 2012
