sir,please anybody help me how to apply for govt.jobs and examinations and how to get success and send the examinations dates to my mail and any other details also .........it will be more helpful for me.........my email id is [email protected] doing final year mechanical engineering.

You can find opportunities in many public sector firms in almost all sectors after passing mechanical engineering. In petroleum sector you can find opportunities in IOC, ONGC, Bharat Petroleum, etc. In power sector you can find opportunities in NTPC, Nuclear power corporation limited, etc. You can also find opportunities in BARC, SAIL, VSSC, etc. You can also write various test conducted by UPSC, PSC, SSC, etc. You can also write the tests conducted by RRB, public sector banks, etc. You should apply for these exams on seeing the notification in the official website or in newspapers. With good preparation and proper study plan you can find placement in government firms.

Earlier most PSU used to visit campus and recruit candidates. But they used to visit only IIT and NIT and some other premium institute so finally supreme court asked all the PSU to take candidates via GATE Exam so that each one has equal opportunity.

You need to appear for GATE exam and score very high marks. YOU will be asked to apply to various PSU with you GATE marks. Eventually if you meet the PSU cut off, you would be given call for interview.
Perform well in GATE as it has great weightage in final selection

I am a mechanical engineer, 2012 passout. I was searching for job from last 1 year. Exactly one and a half month back i got a job as a retainer, a 6 months contract job. I am hoping that after I complete this 6 months contract I might get the design engineer job in the same company, but I m not sure will they give me that job or do I have to try in some other company.

When I was searching for job I had applied for private sector bank exam and few days back the results were out. Guess what, I cleared the exam. But now I dont know what to do.
Should I continue with my current job and hope to get designated as design engineer or resign the current job and go to banking sector as PO??

Please help me on this one considering Job security, career growth and after retirement benefits( I know its too early to think about retirement, but still would like to know)
