Hello friend,
To be eligible for the Civil Service Exam, you must hold a bachelors degree in any stream from a recognized university. Therefore, if you have done diploma and not a degree course, you won't be eligible for the exam. Apart from being a graduate, you must also be within the age limit of 21-30 years(for general category), 21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST. The application forms for the exam are available at designated post offices/head post offices, after the notification published by UPSC. You may also apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in For further information, you may refer to the official website of UPSC. |

You cannot apply for the IAS exam since you have got only a diploma qualification. In order to pursue IAS, a minimum of a graduation degree is needed. It can be pursued in any subject area. It should also be obtained from a recognized and reputed institute. A minimum of 21 years is required for applying to the IAS post. If you are really interested in appearing for IAS you may pursue a graduation through the lateral entry scheme and then think of writing the UPSC exam
