can a diploma holder apply for civil service exam? is it equivalent to a degree?

I m not find the answer of any ?.

No,you have to be a graduate to appear in the civil services exam because the minimum eligibility is graduation and you have to be in the range of 21-30 years of age(There is age relaxation for sc,st candidates).

i hope no you do not have eligibility with your only diploma

no diploma is not equivalent to degree

for writing civil services examination the eligibility criteria for this exam is

you have to have a degree from any indian university whatever may the degree be it doesn't matter you should have a degree that's it

and you should fill the age requirements

i.e. you should complete 21 years of age

and you should not cross your 30 years and there's relaxation for sc/st candidates upto 33 years

these are eligibility criterion

now according to you

you should first get a degree and then apply to attempt for civil services examination

Diploma engineering is not an equivalent to graduate degree.Graduation is the minimum qualification for appearing civil service examination.

As far as I know diploma holders can not appear for civil service exam conducted by UPSC.

The educational qualification required for appearing in civil services examination is that a candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline obtained from a recognised university.

Since a diploma course is not equivalent to a degree course, so diploma holder candidates can not apply for civil services exam.

is bachelor of paramedical science degree from IGNOU equivalent to other bachelor degrees. if yes, is the person having a paramedical degree eligible for applying for civil services

If you want to become I.A.S officer then you have to pass the graduation in any stream you want from the recognized university.
You can not apply after the completion of diploma course.

I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass the graduation from recognized university.
> Age limit:-
For open category:-21-30year
For OBC category :- 21-33year
For ST/SC category:-21-37 year
> Number of attempts:-
For open category:- 4
For ST/SC category:-7

You are not eligible for I.A.S after passing diploma course.

After graduation you can apply for I.A.S exam.
I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-33 year.

You can apply online or offline.
The Form cost is just 20 Rs.

Diploma is not equivalent to Degree and a Diploma student is not eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam.

Only Graduate and above is eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC every year to become an IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc Officer.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

No, you cannot write bank exams with diploma certificate
